Last season Donna showed us this fab powerful and strong woman through fab menswear tailoring this season was the opposite root! It was soft,feminine and very pretty! The collection featured ethereal tones and had a pure organic feel! Everything flew in the air and the tailoring was very soft loved those skirts that in movement were a bubble shape also the pleat skirts very bouncy and strong! The beauty was adored it was really the good kind of pink eye ;) The soft pinks were really stunning but in most collections I find myself drawn to everything evening and this season I had much to love at donna! Stunning sheer flowing gowns with stunning glimmering crystals in soft pure tones, so stunning! Then there were the soft breezy printed organza gowns just to beautiful totes took my breathe away! The ready wear pieces also took my breath away so soft and pure and had this futuristic minimalist stunning look about them!

While designers often arrive with their model muses decked out in their finest creations, Donna Karan is taking a different approach. Attending, as a special guest, is supermodel Polly Bean, who is better known as an illustration (for the past 20 years "Supermodels" has been a comic strip in Private Eye) than for strutting down the red carpet. Wearing a curve-enhancing red dress custom made for her by Donna Karan, Polly Bean will be tweeting from the top table where she will be sat alongside Karan. Will be glued to that twitter account for sure!!!

Whitney Houston's "im every women" was played at the final walkthrough at the Donna Karen show not only was is a great tribute to whitney but it was really what this collection was about an empowered Donna Karen women!!! The collection was mens wear inspired with classic 1930s mens stripped suit interpreted by Donna into fabulous empowering clothes!!. The collection opened with a grey striped mens coat with a cute little hat, this image is very strong in its tailoring and a very powerful women could only wear it i think thats what most of the clothes were. there were more feminine lose flowing skirts and pretty sequenced hats the ready wear was great very powerful and sexy but i just adore the evening looks!!! The first was a white shirt worn with a large ruffled satin black skirt very fabulous!!!! there were really glam sequence suits and super sexy jersey black gowns with beautiful draping, the final gown was a fiery red silk one shoulder very structured bodass and a free flowing lose skirt a real sexy and fails look for any women. love the fab collection which is sure to empower women this fall
